Training

I train all types of horses for all dispositions. I specialize in performance horses such as cutting, reining, working cow horse, and pleasure. Send your horse for personalized and comprehensive training, emphasizing trust and confidence building which builds a solid foundation. This foundation, regardless of your riding disposition, will serve as a building block for the rest of your horse’s life. By creating a willing partner, your horse will become soft and united, allowing horse and rider to perform to their full potential.

Clinics

Colt starting:

Start your own colt or restart a problem horse. My philosophy is - GAIN YOUR HORSES TRUST AND RESPECT AND BUILD BOTH YOUR CONFIDENCE AND THE CONFIDENCE OF YOUR HORSE. I believe that if the rider becomes the horses' source of security, the horse will look to the rider for support when he is scared, troubled or insecure. When the rider gives their horse support, the horses confidence level is built up and a bond is formed between the two. Over time, a sense of unity between horse and rider is achieved, as the horse becomes a confidant, willing partner.

Horsemanship:

·         Ground work (pre flight check list) prepare your horse to be ridden.

·         teach your horse to work cattle, united with you as a partner.

·         move your horse from the snaffle to a bridle.

·         teach your horse smooth stops, quick rollbacks and spins.

·         teach your horse true collection and lead changes.

·         Spook proofing.

Demonstrations

One day demonstrations are also available. I will use an untouched or wild horse to demonstrate the communication I use to gain the horses trust and build his confidence. You will see the transformation from an insecure, untrusting horse to a secure and willing partner. I demonstrate the steps I use to build a solid foundation on any horse, as I catch the horse for the first time, lead him, handle his feet, saddle him and ride him in approximately 3 hours.
